Nomad & A Corner of the SkY
Two paintings I worked on as a pair of brightly coloured Berber socks that took me wandering in a state of constant wonder as a poet goes off wandering in a state of constant wonderment and ends up with a poem they might call, "A Pair of Berber Socks" ... Nomads crossed the Sahara, the Atlas Mountains, the Plains of Abraham in socks so colourful they couldn't take their eyes off their feet and thus wandered the world in a state of constant wonderment
RENGA: Sixteen days around the solstice
Sixteen Days Around the Winter Solstice is a westernized senryu / haiku renga (linked poem) composed in English as a collaboration between two poets, Antony Di Nardo and James Pickersgill beginning Wednesday, December 15 and ending Thursday, December 30, 2021. Antony's are the "hokku" and odd-numbered parts; James' the even-numbered. “I write entirely to find out what I’m thinking, what I’m looking at, what I see and what it means. What I want and what I fear.”
~ Joan Didi
